Private Sector and Non-Profit Clients.

NSI's experience in the private sector includes working partnerships and strategic alliances with major industry players such as Hewlett Packard, Novell and General Electric. A small sample of clients include:

Applied Management Systems.

  • Installed a large NOVELL network at their Rockville location. In addition, NSI has unlimited rights for the marketing, distribution, and maintenance of the TRAX (a multi-user correspondence tracking system), CATS (a corrective actions tracking system), and VAST (a questionnaire generator and vulnerability assessment package) software.

Prison Fellowship Ministries.

  • Enhanced and maintained several applications . In addition, NSI staff provides technical support regarding networking technologies and their applicability to PFM functions.

Way Station, Inc.

  • Preparation of the long range plan for information processing, development of a prototype network using Novell's operating system, development of accounts receivable and accounts payable systems, preparation of a request for quotation for hardware/ applications systems maintenance and engineering support services; Development of a medical billing system, a medical record tracking system, and a program evaluation information system.

  • Implemented a 78 workstation network for this Frederick, Maryland, based organization; the network is an Ethernet configuration, using Novell as the operating system; the design includes laser Ethernet cards to communicate among offices in four buildings.

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and systems operations for the network; multi-user system applications are supported; responsible for network administration tasks, on-going support services, and design of Way Station multi-user system applications.

State and Local Governments.

Friendship Heights Village Council.
  • Provided training on the use of several Macintosh software products, such as Page Maker, Excel, and others, to the Council staff.

Washington County Mental Health Authority.

  • Installed the Medical Billing System at their location in Hagerstown, Maryland. The software was developed in conjunction with Way Station, Inc. of Frederick, Maryland. After installation, all users of the system were trained and technical support was provided on demand.

State of New Jersey Victims of Crime Compensation Board.

  • Provided the Board with programming expertise to enhance the Compensation Claims Tracking System developed by NSI for the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, D.C. The software package was provided free of charge by DOJ to all State Compensation Boards. NSI provides services to modify the software and adapt it to the particular needs of the States.

Additional Accomplishments.
 
In December of 1997 NSI received the White House’s Hammer Award for excellence in supporting and developing Government technology. In February of 1998, the U.S. Justice Department will present to NSI the Justice Works award. On September 1996, the Bureau of Justice Assistance presented NSI with a recognition award for our commitment to developing software to support crime control activities nationwide.
